Peaceful Paws has been founded by Abbie & Adam of Meadow View Cremations, who over the past few years has helped many families through the loss of their beloved family members.
We have first hand & very sadly experienced the loss of own pets in veterinary practices. Our pets are a huge part of our family, and we truly believe in letting them pass at home brings a huge comfort to us as owners & other family members.
Sadly many veterinary surgery’s home visits have now become much less available it leaves no other option to use the clinical surrounding in practice. Peaceful Paws are extremely lucky to have some fantastic local vets who can offer a gentle, peaceful service in your own home- that is not at all rushed.
Our phones are open 24/7 if needed

Our vets are available Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5.30pm
Weekends & evenings are also a possibility if preferred.
(extra fee(s) apply)
We ask for 24/48 hours notice of appointment if at all possible, however same day appointments are always an option in case of an emergency (subject to vets availability).
Please get in touch for further information if you sadly need our services
We are extremely lucky to have a selection of fantastic vets who work alongside -
One who we feel extremely lucky to have found is Charlotte.
Charlotte Moody is based in Oxfordshire with her husband, two daughters and two cats (Schmidt is the one seen here!). She qualified as a Vet from the Royal Veterinary College in 2012 and has enjoyed a variety of roles from emergency clinical work to mentoring and teaching students and newly qualified vets. She has many years experience in home euthanasia and sees it as an incredibly special time that should be done in the kindest way possible for the pet and their family.
Why do you want to help pets with end of life care?
"End of life is an incredibly difficult time for everyone involved but it is also a privilege and very special. For this reason it deserves time, sensitivity and consideration for the pet and their family. I have always valued having the time to be there for owners when they need it most."

When the good days are becoming less frequent, if they are showing signs of pain then a decision may need to be made to say goodbye. Please get in touch with a member of our team who will be able to guide and support you with your next steps.
Here are some of the questions you need to ask yourself.
Are they in pain?
Are they having difficulty breathing?
Are they always hungry?
Are they able to eat normally?
Are they becoming incontinent? Are they able to clean themselves?
Are they able to move and go for walks?
Can they play with toys?
Are the good days out weighing the bad?
Are they becoming snappy and grumpy?
Knowing when it is the right time for your pet isn’t always as clear as we would hope. A conversation with one of our experienced and caring vets can help you to decide what is right for you and your loved one. You can talk through your concerns and the vet can help assess your pets quality of life and discuss the options suitable for them and you. These consults are available as video calls, over the phone or in the comfort of your home with your pet present.
When the heartbreaking time comes to say goodbye; we are here to help with a quiet, peaceful and stress free euthanasia in the comfort of your own home. Our appointment time allows up to 1.5hrs to make sure that you, your pet and your family have as much time as you need and never feel rushed. The visiting vet will talk you through the process step by step, tailoring it to your individual pet. They will be able to support you and answer any questions prior to the euthanasia taking place. All pets are sedated before euthanasia to ensure the most gentle, peaceful and pain free passing.
Putting your pet to sleep at home removes the stresses of travel and a busy clinical veterinary practice as well as allowing you the time to say goodbye at your pace.
We recommend other pets to be present if appropriate. It is recognised that pets accept the loss of their companion far more if they have seen them after they have passed so we welcome their involvement at any stage.
Children's understanding of death will vary based on age and the individual. It is your choice as their parent or guardian as to whether they are present and our vet will support you and them as needed. It is recommended to avoid the language of “sleep” in young children and to be clear and honest about the situation using simple language. Some children benefit from drawing a picture or writing a letter to be kept with the pet.
There are a number of options available after your pet has passed.
A home burial if that's a preferred wish. Our family owned pet cremation service at Meadow View can respectfully collect your pet from your home afterwards or you can bring them directly to us.
Meadow View takes pride in offering individual cremations only with ashes returned in a wide range of caskets and keepsakes. Ashes are returned home within 24 hours. For more information please visit www.meadowviewcremations.co.uk
If you have any questions or queries then we are here to help and make the process as smooth as possible.
If sadly you are coming to the end of your pets life & feel we can help in anyway then please don’t hesitate to contact us
